Refund & Return Policy

 

IqAstra is committed to treating customers fairly and complying with Iraqi law.

Under Iraq’s 2010 Consumer Protection Law, customers have a right to receive accurate product information and may return goods and claim compensation if sellers fail to provide required details .

The 2025 E‑Commerce Regulation also requires merchants to display clear pricing, terms of sale and return policies on their online stores.

Furthermore, according to consumer-protection guidance, defective products can be returned for a refund or replacement .

This policy explains when customers may return products purchased from IqAstra, how to initiate a return and how refunds are processed.

 

  1. Scope

 

This policy applies to purchases made directly through IqAstra’s website, social‑media stores or authorised sales channels.

It covers dried fruits, nuts and handmade crafts sold under the IqAstra trademark by Almaabar Althahabi Co.

 

  1. Return eligibility
  • Non‑perishable items: Handicrafts or other non‑food items can be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery, provided they are unused, in their original condition and accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or order number).
  • Defective or damaged goods: If any item (including food) is received damaged or not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and a description of the problem. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.
  • Missing information: If IqAstra fails to provide essential product information (such as ingredients, quantity or expiration date) as required under Article 6 of the Consumer Protection Law, customers may return the goods and seek compensation .

 

  1. Items that cannot be returned

 

Due to food‑safety and hygiene regulations, we cannot accept returns of perishable goods – including dried fruits, nuts and any other edible items – unless they are defective or shipped in error. Once these products leave our control, we cannot resell them safely.

Sale items, gift cards, custom orders and any item marked “final sale” are also non‑returnable.

 

  1. Cancellation and order changes
  • Before dispatch: Orders may be cancelled or modified free of charge before they are shipped. Contact us promptly with your order number.
  • After dispatch: Once an order has shipped, cancellations are treated as a return and subject to the conditions above.

 

  1. How to initiate a return
  2. Contact customer service: Send an email to support@iqastra.com or call +964 xxx xxx xxxx (available 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Iraq time) within the return period. Provide your order number, contact details and the reason for the return.
  3. Receive authorisation: Our team will review your request and, if the item is eligible, will send you a return authorisation and the return address.
  4. Return the item: Pack the item securely and include the original invoice. Unless the return is due to our error or a defect, you are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
  5. Inspection and refund: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method.

 

If the return is due to a defect or our error, we will cover return shipping costs and send a replacement or full refund, including any delivery fees.

 

  1. Legal rights and dispute resolution

 

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under Iraqi law. The Consumer Protection Law allows consumers to seek redress through civil courts if suppliers fail to meet their obligations .

If you have a complaint that is not resolved through our customer service, you may file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Department, Ministry of Commerce.

Consumers also have the right to cancel service contracts or return defective products under the law .
